Every Point and the Overall Message of the Famous Book Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Richard Harrison Memphis writes…

What is This Blogpost About?

If you exist in the United States, you have probably heard of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It is a popular book.

I took the time to read it. I found it useful. Perhaps, there was popularity that was evidence enough it was great, and that I should have read it immediately, when one of my best friends told me about how great it is, back in the 2000s.

Things I Learned from the Famed Financial Literacy Book

  • Middle and lower class people think that if they get a better job that earns more money, they can afford to buy the home they want.
  • Lower class people think if they earn some money, it is time to buy something with it. For example, people buy cars.
  • The thing is, these classes depend on their wages for paying for everything. There is no passive income to some. There is no entrepreneurial income in these classes.
  • When the small-figure money from jobs is taken away, panic sets in for the middle class. When the economy goes down, people panic.
  • Instead of starting a business and earning more, people work. Instead of starting a business, people go to college and get jobs that keep them working hard for someone else.

subtropical flora

“Old A1A”

Orange like a sun tan crete building with terra cotta

Your tree shade is like a pot of Fort Knox dollar ink spilled

I love a long ride down you

Nobody but me and the radio, Glycerine,

Don’t Speak, Jeremy, Sweet Home Alabama,

Let them all play, riding in silence, away in the mind,

in the strumming strings of the straight-holding players

in the famous bands

what a road! so smooth, like a berry smoothie,

presidents ride down it and think it beautiful too

the one percent ride down it, millionaires do, murderers too

Just look at Busted magazine at the 7/11

or don’t, you could look at the houses or something worth

a second of your invaluable time

yo Trump on the cover and an ex president yo

How To Deal With Peoples’ Vibes To You To Quit For Your Own Best Interests

Richard Harrison Memphis writes…

Nobody does it better. You are the rockstar of your life. You make it everything you want life to be, and you do it by never standing aside for someone else to take the reins.

Be in power. Do not be powerless. Powerlessness is when you let someone else be in control. Speak up for yourself. Express what you like. Keep on doing it. That is the key to becoming powerful.

One cannot let the others tell them to listen and do as they say, that the word of the other is the final call on things in your life, be the other doctor, parent, therapist, teacher, or classmate. It is in your best interest to remember what you like and do not like. Rather than, taking the promise of getting what you like by doing it their way, do it your own way. Rather than complying with authoritarians, who explain that this suffering of theirs is what is good for us, be like Jerry in Tom and Jerry, and skip castor oil.

The only person you listen to is God. God is the inspiration derived from reading the ancient words of the Bible.

Others will make you act like somebody else, make you into who they want you to be. You will not be happy with it.

With your bosses and other authorities, you should do as little as possible to play to who they want you to be. Fight for you. Respect everyone. Even disrespectful folks. Challenge. Question authority.

These are some wines that I drank and took notes, to be sure I captured the true flavors.

Tio Pepe – this is a sweet dessert wine, tastes like biting into a red delicious apple. It will knock you on your ass, as it is very high in alcohol.

Montera – Valpolicella – would have preferred to drink tap water, as this is the worst, most horrible wine. Period. It makes steak taste bad, at $15 a bottle.

Catena – Malbec 2019 – though smelled sulfuric at first opening, its amazingly smooth, easy-drinking red fruit, sans sourness, makes its drinkers pine for more.

Chappelet – Petaluma Gap 2019 Chardonnay – Oaky deliciousness that is a bottle drained quickly, because its taste is so good

The Calling – Sonoma Chardonnay 2019 – Faint lemon, a pan of butter frying a pear. An excellent choice.

River Road – Russian River Valley Sonoma County Chardonnay 2021 Reserve – The nose reeks of oak, but then the flavor is distinctly of peach.

Catena White Cliffs – A delightful semi-sweet oak white

B0tter – Primitivo de Pugliavegan IGT – Despite the cartoonish label, the extra-sweet flavors of blueberry and raspberry are accompanied by a deliciously bitter nose, like God blessed us with wine.

Mailly – 2019 Demi-Sec – surprisingly dry for a Demi-sec, tasted more like Sec or even Brut, slight notes of apple, lots of bubbles, a lot of fun

Flowers – Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

This is a fruit-forward, jammy pinot. It is a solid bet for the day you have a good amount of income, or if you want to skip buying a really expensive bottle and get one equally flavory.

Catena AltaMalbec

This is not as flavorful as plain Catena, and it is more expensive than plain Catena. It is grown at a higher point in the mountains, but the flavor of regular Catena is unmatched here.

L’arrivet Haut BrionBordeaux Blanc

This is the best Bordeaux blanc, maybe the best white wine I have ever tasted. I loved its complexity, that it was not too oaky or buttery, but not too high acidity or fruity. It was an elegant wine.

The Sandman

This collaborative effort was crafted by the literary stylist, Neil Gaiman. It is a fantasist’s period-piece that imagines a world of witchery, whose main character is named Morpheus, of no relation to Marvel’s flop. This is definitely a show I want to watch again.

Yosemite

To paraphrase one tweet about this show, it is about the incumbent Republican strategy, which is why left of theatre viewers are watching closely, too. Raw pulp and cowboy shoot ‘em ups echo down the hallways of cinematic history in this modern interpretation that is definitely worth the few bucks it costs on Prime. Costner is calculating and sensitive here.

The Responder

Being a police officer is a job for people with emotional management of steel. Toxic coworkers, friends gone haywire, and a society that looks at police like oppressors combine here. The high-suspense, psychological thriller teaches us to see the positivity in even cops who go awry. Perfect for fans of Martin Freeman.

S. Dixie Highway

Neighborhood

There exists a place in West Palm, a place where beer brews, where taco trucks give you a fried jalapeño, where there are boutiques, where Phipps’s gumbo limbo trees shade the skatepark, where if you breathe enough of the air you become a better you.

Which Restaurant(s) Should I Visit?

Howley’s is there, a place to eat, drink, and socialize with your friends, that stays open 24 hours. If you are going there, be sure to sleep off your drinks at the Motor Lodge, where you can hear the conversations of their customers sitting on the patio, like the women’s group from 8:00 am in the morning. The motel is one door down. The rooms are smoking and non, it is less than $100 per night, and the cable television is the kind that most quickly changes the channels, no delay.

On the crossroads of Dixie Hwy. and Puritan, Dixie Grill wafts its burger smoke onto the sidewalk. Everything about that place, from the memorabilia that adorns the walls to the unmissable neon sign is a gorgeous vintage. The staff is hospitable, likable from the get go. People line the bar for some of the beer the brewers brew there, of which I was permitted to free sample about seven before I selected the Seven Layer Stout. For those who do not know their beers, stout is a dark brown beer that is rich and flavorful, often chocolate is its flavor but hazlenut, oatmeal, and coffee are its flavors just as often. There is a good selection of sours, too. I am attaching photos of some stuff that covers every single inch of the dining area.

Print’s Not Dead

Palm Beach County’s local newspaper is called the Palm Beach Post. If you are in town, you can find one at the bodega, and check the sports section, to see FAU football in full color.

How Do I Find This Place?

This area of Dixie Highway that I am referring to is due south of Palm Beach Atlantic University, the Norton Art Museum also. It is about three miles from downtown, where Clematis St hosts the city of West Palm’s dance clubs.

What Didion or Thompson Might Have Said

S. Dixie Hwy is defined by its people, by the understanding that exists in the collective consciousness there. What residents have along S Dixie Hwy is remarkable, something which more should take notice of its worth, that barrio.
