Catena
La Consulta Malbec
this wine is rich and jammy full on the palate and strong notes of black cherry, delicious, 10/10 would recommend

These are some wines that I drank and took notes, to be sure I captured the true flavors.
Tio Pepe – this is a sweet dessert wine, tastes like biting into a red delicious apple. It will knock you on your ass, as it is very high in alcohol.
Montera – Valpolicella – would have preferred to drink tap water, as this is the worst, most horrible wine. Period. It makes steak taste bad, at $15 a bottle.
Catena – Malbec 2019 – though smelled sulfuric at first opening, its amazingly smooth, easy-drinking red fruit, sans sourness, makes its drinkers pine for more.
Chappelet – Petaluma Gap 2019 Chardonnay – Oaky deliciousness that is a bottle drained quickly, because its taste is so good
The Calling – Sonoma Chardonnay 2019 – Faint lemon, a pan of butter frying a pear. An excellent choice.
River Road – Russian River Valley Sonoma County Chardonnay 2021 Reserve – The nose reeks of oak, but then the flavor is distinctly of peach.
Catena White Cliffs – A delightful semi-sweet oak white
B0tter – Primitivo de Puglia – vegan IGT – Despite the cartoonish label, the extra-sweet flavors of blueberry and raspberry are accompanied by a deliciously bitter nose, like God blessed us with wine.
Mailly – 2019 Demi-Sec – surprisingly dry for a Demi-sec, tasted more like Sec or even Brut, slight notes of apple, lots of bubbles, a lot of fun
Flowers – Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast –
This is a fruit-forward, jammy pinot. It is a solid bet for the day you have a good amount of income, or if you want to skip buying a really expensive bottle and get one equally flavory.
Catena Alta – Malbec
This is not as flavorful as plain Catena, and it is more expensive than plain Catena. It is grown at a higher point in the mountains, but the flavor of regular Catena is unmatched here.
L’arrivet Haut Brion – Bordeaux Blanc
This is the best Bordeaux blanc, maybe the best white wine I have ever tasted. I loved its complexity, that it was not too oaky or buttery, but not too high acidity or fruity. It was an elegant wine.
